Pianist Jamie Namkung performs a solo piano recital in the 2016/2017 season of the Haller Lake Music Series. Program details TBD: a piano sonata by Mozart or Haydn, selections from Iberia Book One by Albeniz, and Schumann’s Humoresque.

After receiving her Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from Oberlin College, and then earning her Master of Music degree in Piano Performance at Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins, Ms. Namkung completed her dissertation on “The Rise of Spanish Music in the Late 19th Century – An Examination of Isaac Albeniz’s Iberia” at Northwest University’s Bienen School of Music, where she received her Doctorate of Musical Arts in Piano Performance.

Ms. Namkung appeared on King FM 98.1 NW Focus Live in 2016. In 2014 she gave the Seattle LMC Competition finalist performance. In 2007 she was the International Young Artist Piano Competition (Washington D.C.) 1st place winner.
